Product Specification
Confirm item, size, colour, quantity, required standard and any site-specific requirements before accepting the quotation.
These Trading Terms set out the commercial conditions applying to quotations, orders, stock, payment, branding, delivery and supply by Norsafe.
Norsafe supplies standard stock, sourced products, workwear, PPE, safety footwear, uniforms and customised goods. These terms explain how quotations and orders are handled from initial enquiry through procurement, production, delivery and after-sales support.
A clean order starts with clear specifications. Saves paperwork, phone calls and the occasional box of shirts with the wrong spelling.
Confirm item, size, colour, quantity, required standard and any site-specific requirements before accepting the quotation.
Check artwork, spelling, logo version, colours, placement and garment details before custom work goes into production.
Tell us the required date, delivery address, collection arrangement and any site-access requirements before the order is finalised.
These Trading Terms apply to quotations, sales, supply arrangements and orders accepted by Norsafe, unless different terms are expressly agreed in writing.
They should be read together with the applicable quotation, sales order, invoice and any other Norsafe policy relevant to the transaction.
Quotations are prepared according to the information provided by the customer and the pricing, availability and supplier information reasonably available at the time.
A quotation is valid for the period stated on that quotation. If no validity period is stated, the customer should confirm pricing before placing the order.
Changes to quantities, sizes, products, branding, delivery requirements or specifications may require a revised quotation.
Orders should clearly identify the required product, quantity, size, colour, specification, branding and delivery requirements.
Submission of a purchase order or instruction does not itself guarantee acceptance of the order.
Norsafe may require confirmation of specifications, payment, deposit, artwork approval or account status before the order proceeds.
Stock availability may change between quotation, order placement and fulfilment.
Product listings on the website, in catalogues or other marketing material do not guarantee immediate availability of a particular product, size, colour or quantity.
Where stock becomes unavailable, Norsafe may propose a revised lead time, suitable alternative or other reasonable solution.
Lead times are estimates based on stock availability, supplier schedules, transport, production workload, branding requirements and the information available when the estimate is provided.
A lead time may run from receipt of payment, purchase-order acceptance, artwork approval or another specified starting point depending on the order.
Where a delivery date is critical, this must be made clear before the order is accepted.
Where a quoted item becomes unavailable, discontinued or subject to an unreasonable delay, Norsafe may propose an alternative product.
Where the customer's requirement depends on a specific standard, certification, material, colour, style or performance characteristic, any alternative should be approved before supply.
Norsafe will not knowingly substitute a materially different product without communicating the proposed change to the customer.
The price payable is the price confirmed on the applicable quotation, accepted order or invoice.
Charges for branding, digitising, setup, special procurement, delivery or other services will be included where applicable.
VAT will be charged in accordance with the applicable South African tax requirements and reflected on the relevant commercial document.
Payment must be made according to the terms stated on the quotation, sales order, invoice or approved credit facility.
Norsafe may require full payment or a deposit before ordering stock, commencing branding or production, or releasing goods.
Customers operating an approved credit facility are additionally subject to the Norsafe Account Terms .
Branding services may include embroidery, printing, sublimation, garment alteration or another approved method.
The customer must provide suitable artwork and accurate branding instructions, including spelling, colours, logo version and required placement.
Production may only commence once the information reasonably required for the job has been provided and any required approval has been received.
Where Norsafe supplies a mock-up, artwork proof or branding layout for approval, the customer is responsible for checking the details before approval.
This includes:
Approval authorises Norsafe to proceed using the approved information.
A special-order product is an item manufactured, sourced, altered, branded or procured specifically for the customer's requirement.
Once procurement, production, embroidery, printing, sublimation, alteration or other customisation has commenced, cancellation may no longer be possible.
Custom and special-order goods are subject to the restrictions set out in the Norsafe Returns Policy .
Delivery charges and arrangements will be confirmed where applicable.
The customer is responsible for providing an accurate delivery address, contact details and any access instructions required for the delivery location.
Delivery dates are estimates unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing and may be affected by courier, supplier or production delays.
Customers should inspect goods after delivery or collection and notify Norsafe promptly if the shipment appears to contain an incorrect product, size, colour or quantity.
Supply errors should preferably be reported within seven (7) days so that they can be investigated and corrected without unnecessary delay.
Standard-stock returns, custom goods, defective products and supply errors are dealt with under the Norsafe Returns Policy .
Nothing in these Trading Terms is intended to remove or restrict a statutory right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Norsafe may assist customers with product selection based on the information supplied to us.
The customer remains responsible for communicating relevant hazards, standards, environmental conditions, site requirements and intended use.
PPE selection should be based on the actual workplace risk assessment and applicable legal or site-specific requirements.
Where chemicals are involved, the relevant Safety Data Sheet and application method should be considered before respiratory, hand, eye, face or body protection is selected.
Norsafe will not seek to exclude or limit liability where such liability may not lawfully be excluded.
Subject to applicable law, Norsafe is not responsible for loss caused solely by misuse, unauthorised modification, use contrary to manufacturer instructions or the use of an unsuitable product where the relevant requirement or hazard was not disclosed.
Nothing in these terms limits a mandatory consumer remedy available under applicable South African law.
Norsafe will make reasonable efforts to fulfil accepted orders but may experience delays or interruptions caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control.
These may include supplier failure, import delays, transport disruption, industrial action, power or communications failure, civil disturbance, natural events, regulatory action or similar circumstances.
Where practical, Norsafe will communicate material delays and discuss reasonable alternatives.
These Trading Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
They must be interpreted subject to applicable South African legislation and any statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Norsafe may update these Trading Terms when its commercial processes, services, suppliers or legal requirements change.
The current version will be published on the Norsafe website together with the applicable update date.
Custom work becomes much less flexible once procurement or production begins. Artwork approval and clear specifications are therefore part of the order, not decorative paperwork.
If something on the quotation, specification, branding instruction or delivery arrangement is unclear, contact us before approving the order. Much cheaper than discovering the problem after forty-seven jackets have acquired it.
